German Courses in London
Standard Course Format
  • Each course is organised for a specific company based on the profiles and requirements of the respective students. The skill level is, if necessary, assessed by a written test and a personal interview.

  • Depending on specific requirements, courses may be either on an individual basis or consist of up to 6 students. However, one must bear in mind that, due to the high interactivity essential in language learning, the rate of progress will fall off as the number of participants increases. The pros and cons of opting for group tuition are further expanded upon in the FAQ.

  • Typically, tuition is given on the client's premises once or twice per week with a recommended minimum of 2 hours per week.

  • Lessons can be booked for any time between 8am and 7pm, Monday to Friday. Times may vary from week to week to suit the student's diary.

  • Beginners are encouraged to commit themselves to a minimum of 40 hours as shorter courses at that level will, generally, not prove worthwhile. Otherwise, courses are booked in blocks of 20 hours. Course fees will have to be prepaid.

  • Booked lessons can be cancelled or rescheduled without loss of fee if notice is received a clear working day in advance, e.g. a lesson scheduled for Wednesday will need to be cancelled by Monday evening, 6pm.

"Although my position with Allianz Global Investors Europe is based in London and our Company's business language is English, I am required to make regular business trips to Germany. I have been taking German lessons for the past 18 months, having been recommended Jürgen Zöllner Associates by colleagues, and I have found learning German to be particularly rewarding as I am now able to follow conversations held in German. The course has been tailored to suit my business needs, the tutors have been excellent and using the Jürgen Zöllner Associates textbook I have covered interesting and relevant topics. My conversational German has improved significantly and the lessons have been enjoyable."
